Welcome to 2026 Book Birthday On My Birthday Tradition!!!!! *I might be a little excited and hyper. ROFLAMO*
This is a Page Brief that’s new and never posted anywhere else. Yep new and never posted anywhere else. It’s being posted for the first time as part of the 2026 Book Birthday On My Birthday Tradition!
Join me daily here on the blog for next Page Brief. There’s also something special for the last day of August 2026 as a wrap up for the 2026 Book Birthday On My Birthday Tradition. 🙂
*holding up a glass of champagne* Wheeee…onto today’s 2026 Book Birthday On My Birthday Tradition Page Brief!!!
Today’s Page Brief features characters from Stunning Dare, Impulse Book #13. Enjoy!
From time to time there’s multi-part Page Brief’s that go together. I think of it as a Page Brief Serial and I name them. The below Page Brief Serial Phenomenon Objectives features the books at the time I wrote these Page Brief’s that were available in my Impulse series. Eventually when books are released in the Impulse series an Page Brief might be written and if it is it will be added to the Phenomenon Objectives Page Brief Serial. So this Page Brief Serial is a continuous one (at my discretion/time permits).
Phenomenon Objectives is a multi-part Page Brief Serial and best read in order for the most enjoyment. They are usually in order of the Impulse series for which they are written about (unless otherwise noted).
This might be a rough draft so excuse any typos and so on.

Chailyn slowly opened the door and looked. When she saw the room was empty she breathed out in relief and scurried inside. Cautiously she closed the door making sure it made no sound. She tiptoed deeper into the room leaving the lights off. The sunshine coming in the patio door and windows gave enough for her to see. She sat on the couch and breathed out.
“Why are you being so sneaky?”
She shivered at the whispered question from that familiar deep sensual baritone voice. Chailyn looked from where he had spoken. She hadn’t seen him where he was sitting. He stared at her with those intense light gray eyes. He lowered his curly lashes shielding his eyes from view briefly. A slight smile curled his full lips that looked so very soft. His red hair surrounded a face that should be deemed dangerous to the libido.
“What are you doing here?” She countered.
“Probably doing the same thing as you. Hiding.” Payne shrugged. “I happen to get here first.”
“I needed a break.” Chailyn sighed. “Great minds think alike.”
“Exactly.” Payne lifted an eyebrow. “So are you coming to join me? Or did you want to be hidden all by yourself over there on the couch?”
Chailyn rose and walked over to join him. He tugged her down so she sat on his lap in the arm chair that was adjacent to the patio doors. Chailyn sighed as he cuddled her. She kissed his chiseled cheek.
“This is what I needed and didn’t know it.” She sighed.
“It was.” He hugged her. “Hidden with you is so much better.”
“It is.” Chailyn cupped his face. “It’s always awesome when we do things together. Even if it’s hiding.”
They laughed.

There are many ways I think of words. One is as a snapshot which forms a picture in your mind of what is on the page. With each of my series I’m sharing this with you…snapshot.
The book is free at the time of this posting, if you are reading after that always double check if that has changed. There are times I will post the same thing again just to make sure in case you have not seen it you get your copy.
