Today’s Page Brief features characters from Onyx Moon Rising, Legend Cove Book #1. Enjoy!
From time to time there’s multi-part Page Brief’s that go together. I think of it as a Page Brief Serial and I name them. The below Page Brief Serial Temptation Maneuvers features the books at the time I wrote these Page Brief’s that were available in my Legend Cove series. Eventually when books are released in the Legend Cove series an Page Brief might be written and if it is it will be added to the Temptation Maneuvers Page Brief Serial. So this Page Brief Serial is a continuous one (at my discretion/time permits).
Temptation Maneuvers is a multi-part Page Brief Serial and best read in order for the most enjoyment. They are usually in order of the Legend Cove series for which they are written about (unless otherwise noted).
This might be a rough draft so excuse any typos and so on.

Tashana reclined on the blanket in her backyard. She appreciated the silence. It’d been a busy few weeks and she needed time to herself.
“Pssstttt.”
She glanced at where the sound came from. When she spotted him she smiled at how he was trying to be all incognito. It was so not his way.
She wasn’t in the mood to move or yell so he could hear her where he was across the yard.
“Why are you disturbing me?” She spoke in his mind.
“So we can escape before someone comes looking for us.” Sanjay came toward her.
The effortless power of his movements made her breath catch. No matter how long they were together she would always desire him.
“I’m not hiding to do what I plan for today. You know my plan for today. Relax.” Tashana settled against the blanket. “This blanket and I have a date. A serious one to get to know each other better.”
Sanjay lay down beside her and cupped her cheek. “It’s been a few weeks of chaos.”
“Don’t remind me.” She leaned against his hand cupping her cheek. “I swear none of them has any sense. Why do they want to create such chaos?”
“They are pain in the asses.” Sanjay sighed. “Navigating so many egos is a delicate balance.”
“Give me a rip-roaring fight any day than political bullshit.” Tashana blew out breath. “No discussing the chaos. At least not today. Today is about relaxing.”
“You think you’ll get that here.” Sanjay sounded doubtful.
Tashana knew why. There had been chaos but also boundaries being ignored.
“They now understand boundaries.” Tashana smiled and knew it was evil.
“What did you do?”
She ignored his suspiciousness. “Just explained what it is, they needed to abide by it and so on.”
Sanjay still didn’t look convinced.
“Fine. A few threats and examples of those threats were given.” Tashana chuckled. “Some believed me but others not so much. But in the end I got my point across to respect boundaries.”
“That’s good.” Sanjay sighed. “They really need to learn to work together.”
“Yep. But it’s like they don’t hear each other. Or they have selective hearing so they don’t hear each other.” Tashana snorted. “Or a mixture of all of the above.”
“Yeah. At least they now understand and will hopefully respect boundaries.” The lack of belief was plain in his tone.
“I don’t care if they respect that for each other. But they sure as hell will mine.” Tashana smacked her fist against the palm of her hand. “I’m done playing nice. They better respect my boundaries. I’m done with the chaos they are doing.”
Tashana heard a sound. With a graceful movement she rolled over then touched the ground in front of her. She raised her one hand palm open straight out. Drawing on her Nefer Guardian powers, Tashana felt the power swell and lashed out. She heard and felt it connect. Then they were alone again.
“That was awesome.” Sanjay chuckled.
“I believe in reinforcement. I did tell them to respect my boundaries. Today’s is I’m off and not to be disturbed.” Tashana stated.
“I know not to mess with you so you don’t have to do reinforcement of boundaries.”
“I’d be gentler with you for my reinforcement of boundaries.” Tashana paused. “Maybe.”
Sanjay chuckled again and kissed her. Tashana leaned into him. She sent another burst of power over his shoulder. Again it hit. The new target left. She figured there would be various people who would test her. They would learn through reinforcement of boundaries.
