Today’s Page Brief features characters from Surrendering Dare, Impulse Book #9. Enjoy!
From time to time there’s multi-part Page Brief’s that go together. I think of it as a Page Brief Serial and I name them. The below Page Brief Serial Phenomenon Objectives features the books at the time I wrote these Page Brief’s that were available in my Impulse series. Eventually when books are released in the Impulse series an Page Brief might be written and if it is it will be added to the Phenomenon Objectives Page Brief Serial. So this Page Brief Serial is a continuous one (at my discretion/time permits).
Phenomenon Objectives is a multi-part Page Brief Serial and best read in order for the most enjoyment. They are usually in order of the Impulse series for which they are written about (unless otherwise noted).

Atkins passed the living room but stopped and backed up. Curious he looked at her but she didn’t even notice him.
“What has you frowning?” He asked as he went towards her.
“I swear my sister.” Her brows furrowed. “Makes me so confused.”
“That’s nothing new.” Atkins shrugged. “What did she do now? Is she still talking about the codeword for sex? Trying to make people uncomfortable by talking about it.” He laughed. “Although it’s funny as hell.”
“You and she are so alike. You like making people squirm.” Sawyer poked him in the shoulder.
“Yes I do.” He grabbed her finger and kissed it gently. “so tell me what mischief has your sister gotten into now?”
“Bread.”
He blinked then shook his head. “I’m going to need more than that.”
“She now seems to be fascinated with it. Baking?” Sawyer shook her head. “Asher has never shown interest in that. I can only imagine baking and Asher would be a disaster. But she said Terrence was going to teach her. She also mentioned something about tart. I have no idea what that is.”
“Are you sure bread or baking isn’t a substitution for sex?” Atkins stared at her. “How could you not know what tart is?”
“No I thought it was about sex but she corrected me and said no.” Sawyer rubbed along the bridge of her nose. “My sister confuses me a lot. And why do you sound so disbelieving that I don’t know what tart is. I know it’s some kind of pastry or something but I’ve never heard of it.”
“It’s a thing from where our family is originally from.” Atkins shook his head. “This is on me. No it’s on the family and friends who know what it is for not having educated you on the joys of it.”
“You said a whole lot of words but none of it made sense.” Sawyer rolled her eyes. “My sister already confuses me enough. I don’t need you to do it too. At least not in this case.”
“It will become clear soon.” Atkins mind started to race and he smiled. “I’m going to share with you a scrumptious conundrum.”
Sawyer’s expression and eyes changed. He could tell he had hooked her with his words. Now that he had her intrigued he was going to have fun.
“We’re going to go on a fun adventure together.” Atkins rubbed his hands together. “And you get to this time maybe confuse or outmaneuver your sister.”
“Tell me more.” Sawyer leaned forward.
Atkins knew that would’ve gotten her attention even more. Although they liked to deny it the sisters were competitive in their own way. It was intriguing to watch them. In this case Atkins was going to enjoy this scrumptious conundrum.
