Moving from the wall, he walked purposefully across the floor. He ignored everything around him. He had one goal—her. Her chest rose and fell as he drew closer. Finally standing before her, he raised his hands and met hers with his, twining their fingers together.

He undulated his hips in time with hers and let her feel his hardened shaft. They hissed simultaneously at the first touch. Bringing up her arms and placing them around his neck, he put his face close to her neck and inhaled her scent. She smelled like sin and sex. The scent of her arousal gripped him. His cock hardened and lengthened even more. Running his hands along her forearms, then down her sides, he felt her quiver. He continued the path to her waist and cupped her lush hips.

Mia blinked as the realization of what she had just seen filled her.

He just came out of stone. No way are gargoyles real. Her eyes narrowed, and she grinned.

The man stopped just before he reached her.

“Who put you up to this? Reggie? Yeah, it had to be her. She knows I loved the Gargoyles cartoon when it was on. Goliath was my favorite—that voice and his personality.” She shuddered lightly, then continued, “Great trick with the wings. Where did you ditch them? You didn’t have to get dressed on my account.”

The man looked at her. Suddenly, there was a loud whoosh, then wings spread behind him. His shirt disappeared and his sculpted muscular chest glistened in the sun. Mia stepped back again and gasped.

Page Notes ~ Dangerous Intent

Today’s Page Notes is a little taste from Dangerous Intent, Law and Protection, Book #1. Enjoy.

“Although I was told it was more of a simple babysitting gig.” He stood keeping an eye on Callie still with her gun on him. “Either use it of put it away.”

“I’m still deciding,” Callie replied. She smiled a devilish grin then sighed. “Damn, it’s so disappointing that I’m not going to get to shoot anyone.”

“You shot her.” Darryl pointed to the woman who was lying on the floor.

Like the man she hadn’t made a sound when shot and stabbed. She was glaring at them both. Darryl went over to her and flipped her over putting the zip ties on her then seating her before them.

“Yeah but that wasn’t any fun.”

He glanced at Callie. She winked then lowered her gun she lifted her dress and slid her gun into her thigh holster. Darryl stared at the expanse of leg and the gun lying against it. He willed himself to not get hard. This was neither the time nor place. A sultry chuckle drew his gaze to hers. The knowing look on her face made him shake his head. She smiled wider and licked her lips.

“Only if you’re lucky.” She deliberately looked down his body. “And I don’t see you as being that.”

“I’ve been known to be.” He smiled slowly.

Callie eyes darkened and her breath hitched.

Page Notes ~ Worth Every Risk

Today’s Page Notes is a little taste from Worth Every Risk, Rowan, Book #1. Enjoy.

“I’m glad you liked my surprise Cal,” a sexy alto voice said from the door.

Glancing towards it, he took in Cass standing in the doorway in her children clothing and pigtails. She looked so cute. Beckoning her to him, he saw the devilish grin curve her lips before she ran to him and jumped in his lap. He let out a grunt then a groan as she elbowed him in the stomach. He pulled her against his side and held her tightly. She laughed and calmed down resting her head on his shoulder. They gazed at the tree for a few minutes.

“When are you leaving?’ Cass asked breaking the silence.

“Wednesday morning. Jarrod is meeting me here so we can go to his place together. Oh, he told me to let you know he’s sorry he didn’t get to meet you but you’d meet in the New Year.”

She nodded. She would be in Chicago and he would be here in Rowan for the New Year.

He looked down at her auburn hair and said, “I have something for you.”

She looked up at him in question. Unconsciously his eyes dropped to her lips. She let out a sound making his eyes jerk up to meet hers. An unfathomable look was in her gaze.

Clearing his throat, he pulled away and stood. “Excuse me.”

Hurrying from the room, he went up-stairs to his bedroom. Calhoun took a shaky breath. He cursed himself for almost kissing Cass. She was his friend. His little sis. A big brother did not lust after his sis.

She’s not you real sister.

Ignoring the thought, he retrieved her gift and went back downstairs to the living room. Entering he saw she was still sitting on the couch with a slight smile curving her full lips. Debating for a second if he should sit in the chair Calhoun decided not to as she looked at him. He walked over to her and sat next to her.

Smiling he handed her the gift. “Merry Christmas, little sis.”

She frowned briefly then the smile returned. Gently she took the bulky box and shook it. No noise could be heard. He smiled in anticipation.

With eagerness, she started to rip open her gift. He grabbed it from her.

“Hey it’s not Christmas yet.”

She snatched it back. He went to take it back. She held it away.

“Unless you want me to hurt you, leave it. I want to open my gift with you. Since we will be
in separate states after tomorrow it has to be now. If you want to wait that’s up to you.”
He looked around. “I don’t see anything for me.”

She had placed her gift back on her lap and was busy opening it.

“It’s over there.” She waved her hand towards the alcove by the tree.

Eagerly he rose and went to the place she pointed to. He stopped as he saw the huge box. Testing it to pick it up he was surprised it wasn’t as heavy as he assumed. Taking it back towards her, he saw she was on the floor with a look of frustration on her face. He laughed as she glared at him. Around her the floor was littered with boxes in each smaller than the next.

Growling Cass said, “This had better be good.”

He sat and crossed his legs placing his hand under his chin as he watched her tackle the box.
She growled louder as another box was revealed.

She looked at him narrowly. “You think you’re funny.”

Laughing he nodded.

She waved the medium sized box she had in her hand threateningly before opening it. Her gasp of shock made him grin.

Her hands shook as she took out the crystal figurine. She turned it and sunlight shot through it. Her collection of figurines had inspired him.

Looking at it, he was again swept away with the detailing of the figurine he had his buddy Zarek make specially for her. It was the day they had went hiking and as she stood in the setting sun, he had taken a picture of her with her leg resting on a rock with a look of contentment on her face. Zarek had captured her perfectly from the picture. She looked up and the tears in her eyes made his grin widen.

“Look at the inscription.” He urged her.

She turned it over and read it out loud. “To Cass, the best little sis a guy could have. Cal.”

Slowly without looking at him she placed the figurine gently back in the box and closed it. Confused he watched her. She looked up at him and he was surprised at the anger he saw on her face. She stood stiffly. Without a word, she swept up her coat, the box and went to the door. He got up and rushed after her.

“Cass where are you going? Come on speak to me.” He grabbed her arm.

She jerked away from him and turned to face him.

“What do I mean to you Cal?”

Page Notes ~ Sizzling Dare

Today’s Page Notes is a little taste from Sizzling Dare, Impulse, Book #1. Enjoy.

Jameson rose and came around the table. The predatory grace of his movements made her pulse quicken. She licked her lips. God that man can move.

“Dance.” It wasn’t a question but a demand.

Tiana opened her mouth to refuse but something in his gaze made her rethink it. She slid her hand along his, stifling a shiver as she rose. His firm hold on her made her wonder how it’d feel if… she cut off that thought. Don’t go there Tiana.

Jameson led her to the dance floor. She faced him just as the music changed. The sensual rhythm of Soca filled the air. Jameson partially lowered his lids and a small smile curled his lips. Instinctively Tiana moved her hips then the rest of her body lifting her hands and going with the music. Jameson stared, his gaze moving along her body. It was almost like a physical touch. Tiana thought for a moment about it being a bad idea but ignored it as she continued to move with him. He lifted his head meeting her gaze then moved. Tiana swallowed as she watched him. He moved with the same intensity he had when he played. She couldn’t help but stared at his hips as he rolled them in a motion that should be deemed illegal. A soft chuckle reached her and she lifted her head narrowing her gaze at the expression on his face. It was too knowing and way too smug. He moved to her, sliding his leg between her thighs and jerking her against him. Tiana sank against him moving with him as the music played around them.

Suddenly Jameson turned her, placing her back against his front. She stifled a moan as he moved behind her. His thick erection pressed against her ass. She shifted her legs as her panties dampened. Tiana again licked her lips wanting to feel him bare. She jerked at the thought and stepped away.

“When are you going to stop running from us?” Jameson asked close to her ear.

She shuddered not realizing he had moved with her. Tiana took another step.

“I never took you for a coward,” he spoke again close to her.

Inhaling sharply, Tiana gritted her teeth. She was no coward. Tiana lifted her hands then turned to him and rolled her hips. She saw him gulp and smiled. Moving to him she rocked her body against him before stepping away. She twirled away then back into him, Tiana’s breath caught at the impact of his hard body. Jameson walked her backwards until her back hit the wall. His hold shifted and his hot hands raced down to cup her ass in his palms. Jameson jerked her into his body and rotated his hips in a sensuous glide keeping in beat with the music. Wetness soaked her panties even more. He chuckled. Looking up she saw the knowledge in his eyes of what he was doing to her. In that moment she didn’t care if he knew. She wanted to be under him in the worst possible way. It didn’t matter they were in the middle of bar where anyone could see them. She wanted him with a passion that made her feel reckless.

Leaning deeper into him she felt his erection press against her. Stifling a groan she rested her head on his shoulder inhaling deeply. Hoarding his sweet tangy masculine scent of sandalwood and aroused male.

Rolling his hips in a lazy motion that tantalized her throbbing core through her skirt Jameson whispered in her ear. “Do you want me Tiana?”

The scream of ‘yes’ bubbled in her throat but common sense stifled it. They didn’t like each other and were only here working together to help Terrance. If they got involved and it didn’t work out it would create all kinds of problems. Jameson pressed closer moving his hips in a sinuous motion scattering her thoughts. A moan tore from her throat.

“Do you want me Tiana?” he repeated in the same soft tone.

Gulping to clear her head Tiana looked up at him. Unable to hold it back she blew out a breath and said raggedly. “Yes I want you Jameson…” Pausing to catch her breath she watched the predatory grin spread on his face. “But I can’t have you.”

Shock filtered over his face. Pulling away from him Tiana watched him steadily regret tearing at her. “A relationship between us would be too messy.”

The look of speculation on his face made her wary. She resisted the urge to step back as he leaned into her. “I don’t want a relationship with you Tiana. I want hard…” He kissed the side of her exposed neck. “Deep…” He bit her ear gently. She moaned turning her head to give him more access. “Wet…” He licked her ear as his voice rumbled, “Mind numbing sex as often as possible and every way imaginable.”

Suddenly he kissed her deeply. He stroked his tongue into her mouth. He moved his hands up and down her sides then cupped her aching breasts. She leaned into him rubbing against him. He stepped back. Dazed she looked at him.

He smiled. “When you’re ready for that, come find me.”

Page Notes ~ Mating Scents

Today’s Page Notes is a little taste from Mating Scents, Rules of Attraction, Book #1. Enjoy.

“Garrick,” Bailey called behind him.

Tyr went on and Garrick stopped and faced her. Indigo and the others were across the room by the same counter Bailey had been at when he’d come in.

“I am sorry for kicking you.” Bailey came closer, lowering her voice. “But you were not watching me as if you were up to no good. You were watching me like—”

“You were mine.” Garrick blew out a breath. “Yeah, I realized I was after you started to say it. Sorry I didn’t know I was doing that. I noticed you a few weeks ago when you and your friends drove up. Been noticing you since then.”

“Really?” Bailey studied him, her hazel gaze intent.

“So you’ve been watching me for weeks.”

“When you say it like that it sounds creepy.” Garrick shook his head.

“I’ve not been watching you, I just saw you when you came by and was wondering…” He stopped, not wanting to make more of a fool of himself than he already had. That was what giving into attraction got him—a sore head and being made to feel like an ass who fell on his ass. Garrick stifled a chuckle.

“Tell me.” Bailey stepped closer.

Her scent reached him again and Garrick inhaled deeply, loving how she smelled. “What is it that you are wearing?”

“Wearing?”

“The scent.” Garrick inhaled again. “You smell so good.”

“You’re smelling me.” Bailey looked amused. “Peaches and honeysuckle is what I wear. I make body lotion, perfume, bath gels and those sorts of things. I also custom make fragrances for people too. That’s what my business will be.”

“Peaches and honeysuckle. I’m going to remember that.” Garrick studied the empty glass display cases before focusing back on her. “It must be interesting making things like you do…”

“Don’t change the subject. We can discuss that another time.” Bailey moved even closer. “Tell me what you were about to say.”

“I’m done looking like a fool.” Garrick shrugged. “What I was about say doesn’t matter.”

“I’m thinking it does.” Bailey studied him then smiled softly. “Being a firefighter must take lots of bravery.”

“It’s my job.” Garrick didn’t know where she was going with what she was saying.

“But you save people. Sometimes face death when you do. So saying what you want to shouldn’t make you hesitate when you face that sort of thing.”

“Your logic makes no sense.” Garrick wasn’t sure what to make of her. She seemed to be teasing him yet he sensed she was very serious.

“To me it does. And at this point, that is all that matters.” Bailey rubbed her hand down the side of her jeans. “How about I speculate what you were wondering? You were wondering if I would go out with you.”

Garrick smiled. “You’re arrogant to assume that is what I wanted.”

“Oh, it’s not arrogance. It is surety. It was the look in your gaze. Now that I know you’re not some crook, I realize that you weren’t casing my place. You were working up to asking me out. I’ll save you the trouble.”

Disappointment filled Garrick at the finality in her tone. He couldn’t read her intentions but after the fiasco of his frightening her and making her think he was a criminal, he could only imagine she was about to say no.

“I’m going to ask you out.” Bailey moved nearer until she was almost touching him. “Go out with me, Garrick.”

“That doesn’t sound like a question,” he pointed out.

“I’m not good at asking for stuff.” She smiled sheepishly.

“Somehow I like that.” Garrick couldn’t resist. He stroked down her cheek with his knuckle.

Bailey shivered slightly then turned her head into his touch.

“Yes, I’ll go out with you.” “Good.” She held onto his wrist. “I’ll give you a few days to clear the ringing in your ears from my kick.”

“Why do I feel you are trying not to laugh at me?”

“Because your expression when you got hit was priceless,” Bailey said, squeezing his wrist gently before releasing him. “In hindsight, I now realize you were yelling back at me but not in anger. I just don’t know why you made the sound you did.”

“I was trying to be funny to break the ice by doing a weird mating call to match your yell. Thought that would make you laugh, but I should have realized since you’ve never seen me before you wouldn’t take it as intended. It was stupid of me.” He admitted, “It’s been a while since I dated.”

“Then I kicked you. Makes me think the follow up to that would be what the hell kind of kinky foreplay is this?”

Garrick chuckled. “See, a sense of humor is a good ice breaker.”

“Mating call. That is priceless. Oh God, wait until I tell my friends about that.” Bailey winked. “Get a promise from them so they don’t tease you about it. You’ll have to tell me about your not dating and why not on our date. Does Saturday work for you?”

“So long?” It was five days away. “It’s your next day off.”

“How’d you know that?”

“Indigo.” Bailey rolled her eyes. “She observes things and mentioned noticing how your shifts work.”

“Why would she notice that?” Garrick glanced at Indigo, who was with the others.

“She likes information and makes it her business to know,” Bailey said.

He glanced at her. “Okay. But Saturday is a long time to wait to see you again.”

“But you see me when I come here.” Bailey patted his hand as she released her hold. “Maybe if you get time while you’re on shift, or getting off, you could come over and offer your help.”

“I might just do that.” Garrick stared at her. “You’re turning out to be a surprising woman. Very unpredictable. I find that enticing.”

“Unpredictability is a good thing. Keeps you on your toes and intrigued to want to know more about me. That’s a win-win. So if you don’t get a chance to come see me before, I look forward to seeing you for our date on Saturday.” She put her hand in her pocket and pulled out a card, then a pen from her ponytail, before writing on the back. “Call me with your address.”

Garrick took the card as Bailey walked away. Garrick stared after her, watching the sexy sway of her hips.

Page Notes ~ Awaken

Today’s Page Notes is a little taste from Awaken, Immortal, Book #1. Enjoy.

He smelled as good as he looked and his body was firm. Shay’s mouth tingled with the need to bite on his luscious chest.

A dizzy feeling swamped her. Closing her eyes, Shay saw mists covering Mikhail standing before her, his muscular chest bare. He held her close and kissed her with a passionate intensity she wanted more than her next breath. Gripping him tightly she held him and he lifted her holding her effortlessly. Wrapping her legs around his waist she felt her wet naked slit touch his erect cock. He started to slip in. With a gasp Shay prepared for his entry.

“I didn’t mean to scare you Miss Coles,” Mikhail’s dark seductive voice whispered against her hair.

Scare me, seduce me, hell do whatever you want to me. With that wayward thought Shay’s eyes snapped open and she was able to regain her senses and step back. Flushing, she realized she had slipped into a fantasy again. Rubbing the ache at her temple she tried to act normally. Taking the vase from him, she turned and put it back on the shelf.

“Um, no, you didn’t scare me, Mr. Adonis. I was just surprised. I didn’t hear you walk up,” Shay said as she glanced back then up at him.

Meeting his gaze, she again remembered what she had done in her office. She thanked God he would never know. His unblinking stare made her uncomfortable.

“What are you doing here?”

His eyebrow arched in question.

Realizing how it sounded Shay cleaned it up, “You usually don’t come into this section.”

She winced at how that sounded. She didn’t want him to think she was watching him even though she had been. Deciding the best thing was to shut up Shay waited for him to speak. He didn’t. He continued to stare. Mikhail gaze dropped. Shifting slightly Shay controlled her instinct to squirm.

His gaze went silver then crimson. “You’re wrong, Tashana. There will be no more you or me. There will only be us.”

Her eyes narrowed at his arrogance. Turning her back, she walked toward the door. “Screw you.”

“That will come later.” His voice was a silken promise.

“You wish.” She fired back.

“No. My pleasure.” His hand gripped her, spun her around dragging her into his body.

His head dropped swiftly. She could have moved away but she wanted to taste him. His lips settled over hers, but not with aggression as she was bracing for. The aggression she could have taken and walked away. He liquefied her with tenderness. It was soft and gentle. Breaking down her defenses. He bit her on the lip and gasping, she let him in. His tongue delved into her mouth. He stroked gently against her. Murmuring, he pulled her tighter into his body. She felt all of his packed muscular body in delicious detail. She shuddered.

He ran his hand down her side leaving a trail of heat in his wake. Sinking deeper into his arms, she locked her hands in his hair. Sanjay dragged her up and then his lips became demanding, kissing her with the heat she expected. It was a sensual assault of unadulterated, unbridled lust.

Page Notes ~ Simple Arrangement

Today’s Page Notes is a little taste from Simple Arrangement, Intentions, Book #1. Enjoy.

“We’ve got to stop meeting like this,” Iona spoke behind him in her melodious smoky voice.

“Hopefully it tastes good.” Jackson glanced at her. “Go and continue the work you were doing.”

“Sounds like I am being told to get out of the kitchen.” Iona smiled. “Do you swear and mutter like Chandler when your cooking is aggravating you?”

“Nope.” Jackson pointed a finger. “Now go and let me cook.”

“Ahhh… So you’re one of those who doesn’t like others to watch them cook.”

“Yes.” Jackson grunted then said, “Why are you still here?” He smiled to show he was teasing.

“I’m going.” Iona stood and turned to leave.

“Iona—”

She paused and looked at him.

“I was looking forward to seeing how the knee socks looked against your skin.” Jackson glanced down her body then met her gaze. “But now I’m wondering what you have on under your housedress.”

Iona drew in a breath then ran her hands down the tie-dyed, short-sleeved sundress from her shoulder to almost the hem, where it rested just above her knee. She gripped the cloth then started to slowly lift it while looking at him. Jackson took a step toward her.

“You’ll just have to wait and see.” Iona pivoted then sauntered out of the room.

“Such a tease.”

“You know it, buddy,” Iona called, laughing.

Jackson’s laughter followed her as she left. Iona went back into the living room and sat again on the floor at the center table. She stretched before she got back to work. Iona rubbed her eyes then blinked as tiredness filled her. She yawned then leaned back against the couch. I’ll rest just a second then get back to it. She put her arm over her eyes and relaxed.

Iona woke, not sure how long she’d been asleep. She frowned as she felt the softness against her back. Touching by her side, she realized that she was lying on the couch.

“I took you off the floor.” Jackson spoke from the direction of her feet. “You didn’t look very comfortable as you were. You didn’t wake when I put you on the couch.”

She lifted her head and saw him standing at the arm of the chair, by her feet. “I didn’t know I was so tired. I’m usually a lighter sleeper. And I sure wouldn’t have slept through your moving me.”

“Dinner is ready. I have it ready to warm if you need some more time to work.” Jackson came around the couch and sat on the center table beside her open laptop.

“I might be doing some more work.” Iona sat up, moving so that her legs were on either side of his. She placed her hand on his upper thigh. “But it will be toward pleasure.”

She leaned nearer, eyes locked with his. Jackson moved forward to meet her and she closed her eyes as their lips met.

Page Notes ~ All the Wright Moves

Today’s Page Notes is a little taste from All The Wright Moves, McKingley, Book #1. Enjoy.

The fog of desire cleared from Warwick’s mind. Katiya bit her lips, straightened her shoulders then looked at him.

“War—”

“Before you list all the reasons why our dating would not work out or say that we are from different worlds and all that, let me just stay that we’re both from the same world. Earth. And this earth man wants to go out with you, an earth woman.” He looked her over again. “Among other things. See you as often as I can and get to know each other very well. So are you ready for that, Katiya Wright, or are you too afraid to give us a chance?”

Katiya’s light hazel eyes narrowed, then a vixenish grin curved her lips. She turned and went back into the house. In moments she returned with a bag that matched her shoes over her shoulder. He bit back a harsh groan as her body brushed his.

“I need to close the door,” she stated.

He stepped back. She closed, locked the door and turned to face him. Warwick’s lips twitched at the challenge in her eyes.

“If you weren’t planning to go out with me, why are you dressed so sexy?” he asked.

She smiled another wanton grin. “You think you have all the answers, Warwick, but if we’re going to date—how did you put it? Often and maybe other things?—the first thing you should learn is when I try for sexy, you’ll know it.” She moved closer and spoke, her breath wafting against him. “This old thing is just the warm up. The next thing is, don’t say anything you can’t back up.”

She went to step away back but he put his hand on her waist, stilling her. Lowering his head, he spoke close to her ear.

“And you’ll know soon, I don’t say things I can’t stand behind.”
